thankful

I am thankful that I got to spend Thanksgiving week with my family. Grandma D and Papa Wayne drove over on Monday and left on Friday. Will got to show Grandma D his preschool on Tuesday while Papa Wayne did a little remodeling job on our upstairs bathroom. We needed to update the paint color and tiles before putting it on the market. On Wednesday, Grandma and Papa got to grocery shop at HyVee and witness what a good helper Will is with the kiddie shopping cart. Then we went to Will's music class and they saw how he is such a good singer and listener. Then we stopped at our favorite toy store to show them our favorite toys. That night Grandma and Papa celebrated Will's birthday by having birthday cake and opening his present. Daddy worked throughout the week, but did have Thanksgiving day off. He made another delicious turkey. Grandma made another yummy pumpkin pie and sausage stuffing. The weather was gorgeous so we did many bike path walks. Thursday night Grandma D and I thought we would be brave and try Black Friday shopping the night before by hitting Target when they opened at 9pm.... well, we chickened out. We drove by and thru the huge crowd and thought "we can order it online".  Grandma D did get into the Black Friday experience by being at JoAnn Fabrics at 6 am. So one of us succeeded in the shopping.  :)

It was a fun week! Will misses his Grammy and Papa. So does this Momma with the extra help.
