The Hubby and I went to Chicago this past weekend for a little get-a-way and Chicago Bears game.

Seven years ago my wedding gift to him was signing him up on the wait list for two season tickets for the home Bears games. Only a matter of days around our fifth wedding anniversary and he received the letter announcing he was a season ticket holder. Now two years later and we finally made it to a game! We had such a great weekend. Not much planned besides good restaurants, shopping and the game. We arrived Saturday to Chicago and to the Hotel Sax. DH found an Iowa Hawkeye bar only a couple blocks away from our hotel while I made a walk over to Michigan Ave for some shopping. At the bar every time the Hawkeyes scored, they received free shots. Good thing it was a low scoring game.
We ate at some great restaurants including Frontera Grill, Sepia, The Gage, and GT Fish & Oyster.
The Bears game was lots of fun! Plus they won! It kept my attention for the whole game. Our season ticket seats are high, but with the stadium being the smallest in the NFL, our view of the game was just fine. And we could see Lake Michigan from our seats too. The weather was great the entire trip. We will definitely plan more trips in the fall to Chicago.
