This past week we took a quick trip to the Black Hills! We drove out with Grandma and Grandpa and met Uncle Shane and Kianna there. It is a 5+ hour drive (one-way) from Aberdeen and the kids did well! After Will getting car sick on his way to Mapleton, we were prepared with a puke bucket.
We stopped at Bear Country USA outside Rapid City and everyone loved it!

We loved the cabin we rented! It had a nice hot tub on the deck which we spent evenings and mornings in. The development had a community pool and lodge which worked really nice when we came back from touring the hills.

Some memorable moments on the trip: forgetting how FAR of a drive to feed donkeys. Half of our car riders getting car sick. Resuling in a stop at a picnic area for the car sick individuals to sleep and realizing how long of a car trip we have back to our cabin. And mom saying "you can come back for us in a couple of hours" (inside joke)

So much fun! Well, except for the winding roads in the back of the Yukon. I'll pack the Dramamine next time!! And maybe some tennis shoes for hiking instead of my flip flops. I didn't know Will was going to be such a climber!! Ha!
