Making Spirits Bright

We kicked off the holiday season this past weekend! Although Daddy was on call over the weekend, we kept busy with local holiday events.

Friday night the city hosted a "Santa coming to town" event by having Santa in his sleigh, lighting of the trees in a park and Christmas music. We got there right away so missed the lighting of the trees. Will asked Santa for a batman robot and Evie a Anna doll.

The next day the Frozen characters were going to be at the park. And the local museum was hosting Santa, gingerbread decorating, and ornament making. My kids enjoyed the museum alot and didn't really care for the ornament making, but enjoyed the gingerbread cooking decorating. The Frozen characters in the park was disappointing. Olaf was there and then after an hour, Elsa showed up. I guess Anna came even later. Obviously being on time is not a big deal in Arendelle.

 We also did our gingerbread tradition this week. Some year they will enjoy decorating rather than seeing how much candy they can eat. Right now - it has become a competition between Mom and Dad. :)
