South Dakota State Fair.... The BIG One

We were excited to take Will and Evie to the State Fair! Will had been asking all week to "go to state fair now!".  I've been going to the fair since I was old enough to be in 4-H. It's become a tradition of our family to camp at the fair all week. Evie and I went back and forth. But Will spent a night at the fair. It's even more fun since my aunts and uncles and cousins all camp next to us.

Will enjoyed everything the fair had to offer; trolley rides, tractors, petting zoos, cows, sheep, horses, a corn sandbox, and cotton candy. As soon as we pulled into the fair at 10 am he demanded cotton candy. And like a good mother and grandma.... we went searching for it right away.  ;)  Unfortunately he had to wait til after lunch since no food stand had it ready. But I have to say the rides were the highlight for Will. He loved them all, except a jungle bus that went around and around. You just have to let Will tell the story of how it made his tummy feel. His facial expression was priceless! Thankfully, Daddy went along otherwise I think Will would have climbed out of his chair. He never cried but didn't care so much for the tummy sensation.

Evie was a trooper. It was pretty hot at the fair so we spent the afternoons back at the camper. She was a content baby in the baby bjorn. It will be fun to see her next year, walking around and possibly doing a ride or two.
