Spring Break Sickness

This is Will's first spring break from Preschool and he is spending it being sick. Starting on Monday he got a cough and runny nose. On Tuesday morning he had a scheduled doctors visit to do testing for asthma and allergies. He was such a big boy. He did great on the hour breathing test, sat still for the chest xray and didn't even cry when they took his blood for the allergy test. Thankfully the tests show that he doesn't have allergies nor asthma. But that afternoon after nap he came down with a high fever along with the cough and runny nose. The doctor thought he might have bronchitis. We started him on augmentin but even tonight he is still having fevers and a bad cough. We revisited the doctor this morning to test for influenza and will receive those results tomorrow. Poor little guy is miserable. No appetite, but at least will drink fluids, no activity. Nights have been rough and last night Will slept in bed with me. DH is on a ICU rotation where he is workings nights right now. Fingers crossed that the meds start to work.
