Friends, Boards and Shopping

Last week we attended two fun events for the kids. First was the Country Club's Family Fun Night. Most of the events were tailored to older kids but we enjoyed getting to know more families over burgers, brats, music and jumpy slides. Then the following day was Storybook Land Festival. Lots of entertainment and bouncy houses again! Will had a blast and Evie found a slide just her size. Then on Sunday we dropped off the kids at Grandpa and Grandma's and continued down to Sioux Falls for DH to take his boards on Monday morning. We got to spend time with a few great couples we have missed while living in Rochester; the Fritz's, the Bryan's, and the Asmus's. While DH took his Monday morning I did lots of shopping for the house. After lunch we drove up to the Twin Cities to continue to shop for the house. The main reason for our Twin Cities trip was to return a broken sink to Ikea. But we enjoyed shopping and restaurants without the kids. We stayed overnight and did some more shopping Tuesday morning before driving back home.
Last night our neighbors hosted a neighborhood get together for us. So nice of them! And lots of fun meeting all the other families around us.
